STOAN’s primary focus is assisting those who are having to adapt to an unfortunate obstacle. We devote ourselves to helping others discover their potential, and become successful in life again after trauma. Unfortunately, people encounter new lives after a spouse or child has passed away, after divorce, or after abuse. After these traumatic events, the need for education, financial literacy, encouragement and counseling can be a great beacon that guides us into a brighter future . STOAN’s goal is to meet individuals where they are and assist in Starting Over Anew.
After a Death or Divorce
There are many resources available to help individuals cope with death and divorce and move forward in their lives. For those who have experienced these losses, there are grief counseling, support groups and funeral arrangement assistance available. We also provide financial literacy and document processing assistance to walk you through it from beginning to end.
After Suffering Abuse
Whether you’ve suffered emotional, physical, sexual, or financial abuse, we have resources to help you heal and recover. Some of the resources available to survivors of abuse include counseling and therapy services, support groups, hotlines, and shelters. We also help connect you to local and national organizations that specialize in helping survivors of abuse.
After Experiencing Homelessness
We have resources that are designed to provide individuals with the support and tools they need to secure stable housing, improve their quality of life, and achieve self-sufficiency. We also partner with agencies to provide mental health and addiction services, employment assistance, food services and life skills training.
After Serving in the Military
Veterans have access to a variety of resources and services to help them navigate their unique experiences and challenges. These resources are designed to provide support and assistance in areas such as healthcare, employment, education, housing and mental health. At STOAN, we give you the tools you need to secure healthcare, disability compensation, pension, and education and training programs.
